چکیده
An unfortunate phenomenon continues to be encountered that creates confusion and undermines justice: misleading or false testimony by individuals variously termed "hired guns" or "professional testifiers." Such marginally ethical activity could be inferred from (a) the frequency with which they testify, espedally when preponderantly for the same cohort of plaintiff or defense law firms, (b) involvement in areas removed from their specialties and published studies, and (c) procurement through a "medical witness advisory service." These issues are readily determined from submitted interrogatories.
